The Triad SQL Business Intelligence Users Group is a forum where any one interested in the Microsoft business intelligence stack can meet to learn more about the product, share ideas and make contact with other similar individuals. Our group is run by Microsoft BI professionals for the benefit of anyone interested in participating in the group.

All of our meetings are free and open to anyone who is interested in sharing their knowledge of SQL Server. Our meetings are generally held on the last Tuesday of every month, unless otherwise noted. Pizza and drinks are provided.

Summary: This presentation will show various use cases and scenarios for how Hadoop (tooling) on the cloud and and modern data architectures add new insights into Analytics and Visualization, to impact the business bottom line. The topic will cover tooling and insights provided by non-traditional approaches to data resulting in a 360 view of the customer, sentiment analysis with social media such as Twitter, traffic patterns, etc. There will be alot of technical detail around this talk.

About Anita: Anita Luthra is a high-energy technical solution and enterprise architect and has come up through the ranks in traditional applications, web, RDBMS as a developer, DBA, technical lead. She has worked on data and application integrations, Cloud, Big Data and Advanced Analytics. She has an M.S. degree in Information Technology and Management, and has worked for companies such as IBM and AIG and has learned through the school of hard knocks. She also chaired a .Net user group (the Triad Developers Guild - TDG) for several years. She has a passion for problem solving and leveraging emerging and existing technology to add value.
